SAJ has had the same goals since the beginning in 1980 and can today provide the required precision information regarding dynamic monitoring of ship structure in its natural varying environment. SAJ-DMS is a platform for proper measurement and we can provide advanced tools for optimization and efficiency monitoring that reaches new levels of result. Britannia naming ceremony will be in Southampton and named by Her Majesty The Queen on March 10.
Princess Cruise’s newest ship Royal Princess was officially named during a traditional naming ceremony in Southampton. Godmother was the Duchess of Cambridge and assisted by the ship’s captain, Tony Draper the champagne bottle was successfully broken across the bow. We are pleased to again have been chosen to supply a fully dynamic monitoring system for the presentation of key information to both the crew and third party systems requiring reliable data. Our SAJ-DMS concept is well known for decades by Princes Cruises that after deciding to replace the conventional systems with precision monitoring have been a returning customer. Safety, fuel efficiency and environmental benefits can only be achieved from having reliable precision instrumentation to base all the decisions on. We can vouch for the monitoring of the ships dynamic floating condition and are pleased to have provided a key part for a greener and safer ship.
10.01.2013: Viking Grace the first passenger ferry powered by LNG built with focus on fuel efficiency, environment and safety was delivered to the owner Viking Line Abp from STX Finland Turku yard. We wish to congratulate Viking Line Abp and STX on their new splendid ship, which represent a new design and standard in the Finland-Sweden ferry operation. The ship is a milestone in the shipping industry because it holds several first time solutions. Many have been visible in the press a lot like the LNG propulsion and new thinking on the concept and interior design of a ferry. However also behind the scenes there is plenty of new technical thinking. We at SAJ Instrument Ab Ltd are proud to be a contributor selected for dynamic- and displacement measurement. With many years of good cooperation with Viking Line we are happy that once again have been entrusted to supply and equip the SAJ-DMS systems for accurate dynamic trim, list and hull bending measurement including remote displacement measurement. Important information required to control the new energy power management solution. With new and more advanced solutions the accuracy of the sensors and instruments on which the calculations are based has become decisive. The past decades of developing customized system technique dedicated for its marine purpose ensures accurate dynamic measuring output is recognized and proving vital for the success of modern ship operation to comply with EEDI and SEEMP requirement.
SAJ Instrument Ab Ltd supply SAJ-DMS dynamic measuring systems to Royal Caribbean’s subsidiary Celebrity Cruises. The newest cruise ship Nb 691 under way at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany is the fifth ship in a series of five “solstice class” cruise concept. M/s Celebrity Reflection is now in the stage of completion at Meyer Werft. The SAJ-DMS system provides the most complete dynamic monitoring with a long proven accuracy and reliability that cannot be obtained from any conventional measuring gauges. Today’s demand to improve energy efficiency and lower emissions the system represents a unique instrumentation to correctly verify the calculated stability prior sailing and at sea where consumption occurs it supply important input to performance improvements made from prediction of theoretical trim optimizations that need to be verified under all conditions against the real dynamic trim. Without knowing the actual trim only a fragment of the full potential of fuel savings will be obtained. We have an excellent and long-standing relationship as the supplier of dynamic measuring technology for Royal Caribbean,” said D. Jansson, MD of SAJ Instrument Ab Ltd. ”We also supplied the SAJ-DMS systems for Allure and Oasis of the Seas, as well as all of the Freedom-, Voyager-, Radiance- and Vision-class ships, ensuring correct and reliable dynamic trim and displacement measurement that support and benefit operation. Another prestigious project with Meyer Werft were the supply of SAJ-DMS to Disney Cruises two new buildings, M/s Disney Dream and M/s Disney Fantasy. SAJ Instrument is today considered as the pioneer and leading supplier of dynamic monitoring systems for 30 years and been cooperating with Meyer Werft during almost 15 years.
