Bore RoFlex delivered

On July 22, 2011 Bore took delivery of the second ship with the new concept RoFlex built at Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft mbH Co.

The ship Bore Song and the sistership Bore Sea, delivered in May 2011 is the ultimate RoRo-vessel designed for flexible cargo solutions and focus on lowered fuel consumption. Easy access through wide stern doors as well as hoistable cargo decks ensure rational and fast cargo handling.

Bore has choosen the SAJ-DMS system for their ships to monitor the ship dynamics. The SAJ-DMS system provides the hydrostatic information required for efficient cargo handling and dynamic trim information at sea for fuel savings and safety. The SAJ-DMS system suits well the intentions from Bore to build an efficient ship with an environmentally friendly footprint and bunker efficiency to meet future requirements.

Allure of the Seas delivered

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line took delivery of their second ship in the Genesis series, the Allure of the Seas, from the STX Finland Turku shipyard on October 28th. The Allure of the Seas represents the state of the art in cruise ship technology and entertainment technology that is unsurpassed today. Allure of the Seas was delivered one year after its sister ship. The Oasis of the Seas was delivered last year on October 29th.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line has chosen SAJ Instrument Ab Ltd to provide the dynamic monitoring system - SAJ-DMS system - for both the Allure of the Seas and the earlier delivered Oasis of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and SAJ Instrument have had a very long business relationship where SAJ Instrument has provided the SAJ-DMS system to most of ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet. By choosing the SAJ-DMS System, the ship operators will benefit from fuel savings and increased safety. The cost of installation for the SAJ-DMS system will be payed back in less than a year's time in bunker savings alone.

Stena super ferries delivered.

Stena Corporation took delivery week 40/2010 of their second super ferry M/s Stena Bitannica (Nb 164) foregoing the M/s Stena Hollandica delivered in May 2010.

World largest car and passenger ferries representing a unique design and standard by Stena. SAJ Instrument have been chosen as supplier for the dynamic monitoring system SAJ-DMS on these two ships.

Stena have been customer to SAJ for over two decades and it is a pleasure that our established association is good and Stena continues to actively choose the SAJ-DMS instead of passively allowing conventional systems to be installed.

The installation of the SAJ-DMS benefit the cargo handling, fuel efficiency and safety. It is a good additional insurance to their £375 million investment. The installation cost for the SAJ-DMS system will pay back itself in less than a year in bunker savings alone.

After working on these projects since 2006 we are happy to see these magnificent ships now in service. The ships’ can carry up to 300 trucks, 230 cars and 1,200 passengers on the Hoek van Holland to Harwich route. Stena Britannica and Stena Hollandica offer 30% more capacity and exciting new facilities for passengers and cars, giving travelers even more space to unwind.

Facilities include buffet and a la carte restaurants; two bars; children's playroom, teenager area; cinema; and Stena Plus Lounge, a media room filled with magazines and newspapers; a news room where you can keep up with the latest local and world news, an internet corner and free wifi.

Stena Line operates ferries on 17 routes in Scandinavia, the North Sea and the Irish Sea. The company has a modern fleet of 35 vessels, including fast ferries, traditional combi-ferries, RoPax ferries for freight and passengers, and pure cargo ships.
